Everyone can do something to help Bring Back Our Ice! It's been too long since our rink was torn down. Now is the time to work together and make it happen. We can do it!
And a whole new generation of skaters will have the opportunity to experience ice sports and recreation. It's a worthwhile project.

OUR STORIES

Coach Wendi
Camarillo
Our dream, to Bring Back Our Ice, has now become a focused plan to build a beautiful community ice center in western Ventura County.
My story is just one of many tales of the tragedy of the day our home ice was melted and the building was torn down. It will always be a true loss to our community.
Yet, out of this loss was born the strong determination to create something better. Join us and let's work together to make the dream a reality!

As a mother of a young figure skater, I learned early on that the lessons we need for navigating life are on the ice. Lessons such as not giving up on yourself, persistence, goal setting, we get knocked down but the power is in getting back up, losing gracefully and winning graciously.
I truly believe that each and every person would benefit from learning to skate.
A community that embraces an ice rink is a community that is willing to allow its members to achieve and thrive - a community with grit.

I grew up at Channel Islands Ice Center and when we lost our rink, it’s like we lost our second home.
Skating has taught me so many important life lessons over the last 20 years and I hope, by bringing an ice rink back to western Ventura County, others can appreciate the sport as well.
I am proud to be a part of the VC Ice Sports team and look forward to all the things we will accomplish in the future.
