ABOUT Ventura County Ice Sports

   Ventura County Ice Sports' mission is to create a community ice center in western Ventura County.

 

   We will serve our community through the ice and also through project-based funding that supports ice sports and recreation, as well as other uses of the ice center.

​

   We believe that ice-based sports and recreation encourage healthy and active lifestyles. Our planned state-of-the-art ice center will fill a current void in our community by offering year-round activities and events in an environment that is inclusive to people of all ages, genders, ethnicities, and abilities.

 

   Our facility will sponsor and develop opportunities for our community, inclusive of youth and adults, local residents and visitors, and local business owners, by taking action to...

• facilitate the growth of all ice sports,

• encourage recreational ice usages,

• create art and cultural events,

• develop educational ice science STEAM programs,

• offer entertainment through shows, games, and tournaments,

• patronize local businesses,

• hire local employees,

• outreach for underserved populations to participate in our programs, including reviving the sled hockey team and introducing a wheelchair curling program,

• set goals to be carbon neutral and generate zero waste.

   A key factor in our plan will be the development of a strong Management Team, to be supported by and be held accountable to our Board of Directors.

   Our vision is inspired by our main product, which is the ice, which we intend to maintain at the highest possible standard. Our customers’ experiences will always have a foundation of quality ice.
